A question about weening off meds?

Well I am not sure what you're asking but a Beta blocker helps decrease your blood pressure. From what I know an abrupt withdrawal...meaning you suddenly stop taking it....that can precipitate a life-threatening event like what you described which is why I ume they are weening you from this antihypertensive medication. Weening should prevent this but if it really scares you and you would like to address it with the physician I think you should call and leave him a message. Just tell him what's going on and your fears so he can address them and help you know what exactly to do and put you at ease with the decision.
