How do I win back a girl?

I dated a girl for 5 months. During that time we did have a great time together. Towards the 4 month it became one of the most turbulent times in my life. Mom in hospital, injured knee running and on crutches, had a huge work project where I was working non-stop for 2weeks, subsequently switched jobs, etc. She really meant a lot to me and we had so much in common and had so much fun together. Those last 2 months I was on some crazy medicine for my knee that actually took away most of my desires with it's numbing effects. Now, I have a dreamy job, knee is healed, mom is doing great but I really miss this incredible girl. We have never fought or had a bad moment and she was very hesitant about breaking up but just thought something was missing the last couple of months. There is nothing I can do about what happened or the medicine I was taking in the past but how do you win a girls heart back once you lost it. =/ Thank you all.
