Why can't conservatives admit that supply-side economics has failed?

Because then they would need to admit that Ronald Reagan was dead wrong, instead of worshiping at his altar. Even his veep George Bush Sr. called supply side "voodoo economics" later and repealed some of the tax cuts, but it was too little too late to save his presidency.
